NMS Artists of the Month- September 2023

Students from Napoleonville Middle School showed off their artwork and were awarded with the NMS Artist of the Month awards! Congratulations to these young and talented artists!

Mikaela Comeaux - AFTA Student Artist

 Please enjoy the interview with Mikaela Comeaux, a then 7th grade, now 8th grade student at Pierre Part Elementary School!  Mikaela submitted five art pieces and we love the creativity and diversity of her approaches. She's very talented and loves to explore different ways of expressing herself. We loved one of her pieces so much that it has been incorporated into our media package!

Aiden Aucoin - AFTA Student Artist

Please enjoy the interview with Aiden Aucoin, a then senior at Assumption High School and now a freshman at Nicholls State University!  Aiden was a part of The Pride of Sugarland Marching Band at AHS as well as an art department student and is now a member of the Pride of Nicholls Marching Band and is minoring in art! In the interview, Aiden also showed us his favorite piece he's done so far and thanked his mom for her scheduling "suggestion." Ha!

Grace Clement - AFTA Student Artist

Please enjoy the interview with Grace Clement, a then 4th grade student at Napoleonville Primary School and now 5th grade student at Napoleonville Middle School!  Grace was excited for the interview and talked about the details of her art piece, what she likes to create most, creating art with her family and friends, and her biggest fan - her little sister. We're looking forward to seeing what she creates next!

Kenzley Bering - AFTA Student Artist

 Please enjoy the interview with Kenzley Bering, a then 6th grade and now 7th grade student at Napoleonville Middle School.  Kenzley was a little shy, but we could tell she loves art and it makes her happy! Adalia Broussard - AFTA Student Artist

Please enjoy the interview with Adalia Broussard, a then 5th grade and now 6th grade student at Pierre Part Elementary School.  Adalia was a joy to interview! She did an amazing job on her art piece and we talked about her inspirations, her favorite art pieces, and learned a little more about her. We can't wait to see what she does next!

Charlotte Clement - AFTA Student Artist

Please enjoy our interview with Charlotte Clement, a then 1st grade, now 2nd grade student at Napoleonville Primary School!  Charlotte was super nervous for her interview, but she's such a sweetheart! Charlotte definitely admires her big sister, Grace, who we interviewed as well. Charlotte has great taste in music, says our President, Joshua. She loves to create and express herself and we're so happy she submitted her art piece!

AFTA holds first fundraiser!

We held a raffle, our first fundraiser, and raised over $7500.00!

Thank you to all who participated by purchasing tickets, sponsoring the foundation, donating raffle items, and spreading the word. We are so grateful for the support of our community and for the great things we are planning for Assumption Parish! Congratulations to all of our winners!
